Unique piece from the “SLEEPING BEAUTIES” series
“Sleeping Beauties” is a reflection on the complex layers of experience
feminine and the continuous struggle for freedom and equality.
The series uses the metaphor of "sleeping beauty" not as an image of fragility,
but as a symbol of silent resistance and an impending awakening,
a metaphor for the condition of women in contemporary society.
(Although the figures appear serene, with their eyes closed or even without
eyes, each sculpture carries in its form the tension of the internal and external struggle
for freedom, autonomy and equality.)
