Collection: Ana+Betania

Ana+Betânia is a duo formed by Ana Cruz and Maria de Betânia, founded in 2012. Since then, they have been active in the exclusive contemporary ceramics circuit, through artistic residencies, exhibitions and participation in biennials and art fairs.

They work primarily in figurative ceramic sculpture, invoking traditional ceramic techniques—and the well-known Caldas da Rainha sense of humor. However, the concepts they develop diverge from contemporary ideas and address contemporary issues in a sharp and playful way.
